Cancellation windows

If you cancel all or part of a camping reservation, you may be eligible for a refund of camping fees. The amount you are refunded depends on when you cancel or change your reservation.

Transaction fees (which help us maintain the reservation service) are non-refundable. For more information on the difference between camping fees and transaction fees, visit the camping fees page.

Each type of reservation has a ‘cancellation window’. The cancellation window determines how much you are refunded, based on when you cancel or change your reservation. This page outlines the cancellation windows for:

Frontcountry camping reservations
Backcountry camping and canoe circuit reservations
Group camping and picnicking reservations

At most parks, you cannot change a reservation after 8 pm two days before your scheduled arrival date.

Frontcountry camping reservations

If you are a non-B.C. resident, the $20 non-resident fee you pay when booking is fully refunded whenever you cancel.

Cancel before Aug 7 at 11:59 pm

Cancel between Aug 8-14
Camping fees refunded minus 1 night’s camping fee and $6 cancellation fee

BOWRON LAKE CANOE CIRCUIT
Over 28 days before arrival	Full refund of camping fees for any cancelled nights
Within 28 days of arrival	No changes allowed No refunds for cancelled trips
E.C. MANNING, GARIBALDI, MOUNT ASSINIBOINE, and JOFFRE LAKES CAMPGROUNDS
All cancellations before scheduled arrival date	Non-resident fee fully refunded

Group camping and picnicking reservations

All changes and cancellations	$6 transaction fee per groupsite Additional $5 surcharge for transactions made via call centre If nights added, pay additional camping fees and transaction fees
Over 28 days before arrival	Full refund of camping fees for any cancelled nights
Within 28 days of arrival	If nights are cancelled, camping fees are not refunded but $6 cancellation fee waived If party size is changed, per person fees charged or refunded and $6 cancellation fee waived
After scheduled arrival date	Changes cannot be made either online or via call centre

Cancel before Jul 1 at 11:59 pm
Camping fees refunded minus $6 cancellation fee
Cancel between Jul 2-30
No refund but no cancellation fee either
